Young Finnish Design / User Agreement
1. Parties to this Agreement
This user agreement (referred to hereinafter as the Agreement) contains the terms and conditions of the use of youngfinnishdesign.com web service (referred to hereinafter as the Service) owned by Young Finnish Design Oy (referred to hereinafter as the Service Provider). When a customer (referred to hereinafter as the User) completes the registration process or orders product/s, they agree to this Agreement.

2. Use of the Service
Private consumers: The service is intended for private consumers. Companies: Companies may also use the Service. The right to return under the Consumer Protection Law does not apply to orders made by companies. All rights to the content of the service belong to the Service Provider.
3. Registration
User can register by filling out the register form and choosing a username and password. User can also order products without registering. By registration User warrants that he/she has read the provisions of this agreement, agrees to these provisions and pledges oneself to comply with these provisions.
4. User responsibilities
The User accepts responsibility for all activities that occur under his/her account or password. The User is responsible for maintaining the security of his/her username and password. The User warrants to the Service Provider that the information he/she provides is true and correct and informs any changes of such information. The User ordering on behalf of a company warrants that he/she has sufficient authority to order the items in question and bind that company to this Agreement.
5. Privacy & Cookies policy
The information provided by the User is stored in the Service Provider's customer register. In order to execute the order, mandatory information is the User's first name, last name, address, postal code, country, e-mail address and phone number. Service Provider is committed to respecting User´s privacy. Service Provider is the owner of the information collected on youngfinnishdesign.com. Service Provider does not transfer any information given by the User for a third party for any other purpose than processing the order. We will not sell, share or rent this information to any other entity for any reason. Service Provider reserves the right to transfer the information provided by the User to the authorities in the case of infringement of laws and violation of good practice (bona mores) by the User.
User has the right to examine, change and delete information about him/herself from the customer register. Upon request, we provide any site visitor who establishes his or her identity to our satisfaction with access to information that we have collected from them.
Like many other websites, youngfinnishdesign.com uses Cookies. Cookies are designed to provide a better personal service for you by gathering information about your visit in the Service. The Service works best when User permits to Cookies.
6. Ordering and Payment Terms
In the service, an order can be made and products purchased by natural persons who are over 18 years old and have a credit card or debit card issued by a bank approved by the Service Provider. Unless otherwise agreed by the Service Provider, payment must be received by the Service Provider prior to acceptance of an order.
Ordering success also depends on the availability of the product. The Service Provider does not guarantee the availability of all products advertised in the Service. The Service Provider reports the availability of the products in the Service.
When an order is placed in the Service the binding sales agreement between the User and the Service Provider is reached when the User receives an order confirmation e-mail in which the availability and estimated delivery time are confirmed. The Service Provider reserves the right not to accept the order.
7. Product prices
The price of the product is the price displayed on the Service at the time of ordering. Delivery costs are added on top of the product price. The delivery costs are product-specific, unless otherwise stated. The delivery costs vary depending on the shipping destination and are stated for each order at the check-out on the Service.
Prices and transportation costs are reported to the User in Euros (EUR). When selling and delivering products, the prices listed in the EU countries include VAT in accordance with Finnish law. When selling and transporting products outside the EU, the recipient of the product is liable for local taxes, customs duties and other similar charges.
8. Gift Cards
Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase another Gift Card. If the amount of the Gift Card does not cover the total order amount, the User must pay the remaining sum of the purchase with a valid payment method available on the Service. The entire amount of the Gift Card must be used on the Service at one time, and money won’t be refunded for orders under the amount. Gift Cards are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. The Service Provider will not replace lost or stolen Gift Cards.
9. Delivery
Delivery times vary from product to product. Delivery time is determined by availability of the product and order destination. Existing delivery methods are displayed in the Service.
The Service Provider and the maker are not responsible for the delays caused by force majeure or the indirect disadvantages caused by the delayed delivery.
Service Provider reserves the right to deliver different products ordered in the same time separately. The shipping service is responsible for the loss or damage of the product during the delivery.
10. Cancellation and returns
The User (except institutions and companies) has a fourteen-day right to return a product according to the Finnish Consumer Protection Law (excluding online events). When returning products, User is responsible for all the delivery costs and risk of damages during the delivery.
The customer has a right to return a product if
1) The order has been cancelled according to the terms and conditions and the product returned within 14 days of delivery,
2) The product has not been used,
3) The product is in the condition that the customer received it in and all the parts of the product are included in the package and
4) The product has been repackaged into its original package or in an equivalent one.
11. Payment Methods
The online payment methods are operated by Stripe through Squarespace.
Most common credit cards:
Credit Card Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Master Card, Maestro and American Express
Google Pay, Shop Pay or Apple Pay
When the user chooses one of these options, the user agreement is between the service provider and the user.

12. Changes to the Service and this Agreement
The Service Provider reserves the right to make any changes to the Service, policies, and this Agreement at any time. The User accepts the changes made by using the Service.
13. Jurisdiction and Settlement of Disputes
All disagreements over this agreement will be resolved primarily through negotiation. If negotiations do not proceed, disputes will be settled at the Service Provider’s Local District Court in Finland in accordance with Finnish law.

1. THE COLLECTED DATA & THEIR USE
Collecting your personal information
We collect personal data from the members of our customer loyalty program, unregistered customers of our webstore as well as other unregistered users of our website.
We collect the forwarding personal data from members of our customer loyalty program and non-registered customers on our online store when placing an order and using the service:
• First and last name
• Address information
• Phone number
We also collect other customer information from members of our customer loyalty program and from our non-registered customers, including:
• From the members of the program, the starting date of the customer relationship and direct marketing consents and bans
• From our loyal customers: information relating to offers and other communication, such as benefits, services and campaigns we have offered
• Information relating to purchases and claims
We collect identification data relating to the use of our services, such as usernames, from our loyal customers. If you contact our customer service by email or phone, we may process the following personal information of yours:
• First and last name
• Contact information
• IP address
• Communication between you and our customer service
• Other information you have given in the reference
We also collect technical information from all our website users, including:
• IP address
• Operating system and device
• The products searched on our website, the browsing history on our website and any other analytical information needed for marketing and business
If you visit our website without logging in to your customer account, technical data collected from you can not be linked to your. However, technical data can be combined with your IP address, whereby information is considered personal data. We collect most of your customer data when you sign up for our newsletter, register an account or when shopping from our online store.
Legitimate grounds for processing of your personal data and purposes of processing
We will process your personal data based on our legitimate interest. Our legitimate advantage is based on our business model, improving your customer or visitor experience and direct marketing. We will not use your personal data for direct marketing purposes without your consent.
We process your personal data to fulfill our contractual obligations based on the customer relationship when you join our customer loyalty program or make purchases in our online store. We will process your personal data for the following purposes:
• To maintain customer relationship, such as informing you about our online services, our products and our customer loyalty program
• Handling payment transactions
• To target marketing
• To improve the quality of our online services by analyzing the products you see and buy, the feedback you provide, and the sections you've visited
2. STORAGE OF YOUR DATA
Storage and transfer of your data
We will not share or sell your personal data to any third parties outside our cooperation partners. The personal data of Young Finnish Design's customer register is handled by our partners in order to enable the operation of our service. Young Finnish Design uses trusted and international partners who are committed in their own efforts to comply with the GDPR reform.
The operation of the service consists of ordering, manufacturing of the products, payments and shipping of the product. Our cooperation partners are Squarespace, Posti. Young Finnish Design Oy may also disclose information relating to the loyal customers (such as name, email and date of birth) to advertising network service providers in order to conduct targeted marketing. The recipient of the personal data is in that case Young Finnish Design’s authorized service provider which processes the personal data transferred by Young Finnish Design in order to offer marketing services to Young Finnish Designt. Our advertising network service providers may store the data outside of the EU/EEA. If personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we will ensure that appropriate contractual measures (e.g. using standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission) are applied to the transfer, the transfer is lawful and that the processing and confidentiality are in compliance with the applicable laws.
Young Finnish Design does not transfer your personal data outside of our organization and cooperation partners apart from the following situations:
• You have given your consent to the transfer
• The transfer is based on law
• The personal data is transferred to an authorized service provider of Young Finnish Design and the terms of processing of personal data have been agreed with the service provider
Erasure of your data
We process some of the personal data relating to your loyal customer relationship based on the contractual relationship. We delete such data as soon as possible when you no longer are our loyal customer. We store the personal data relating to your purchases and claims as long as it is necessary for instance for defending legal claims or for complying with bookkeeping and legal obligations. You may, at any time, unsubscribe from our mailing list and prohibit us from sending you electronic direct marketing.
3. YOUR RIGHTS
Your right to receive information
You have the right to know what information about you is handled by Young Finnish Design. In addition, you may require us to provide you with a report regarding the following matters:
• Why is your data being processed
• To whom your information has been or will be disclosed
• How long we store your data
If it is not possible to communicate the accurate storage time, we will inform you about the criteria for defining the storage time. Such criteria may be based for instance on a certain law or industry-specific instructions.
Your right to correct your data
If your information is incorrect, you have the right to request correction of such information. You can request correction of your information by contacting our customer service. If you are registered and have activated your username, you can also edit your information by logging in to your customer account on our website.
Your right to require the erasure of your data
You have the right to request the removal of your information. You can request the removal of your information by contacting our customer service, whose contact details can be found at the end of this Privacy Statement. If you ask us to remove your personal information, we will try to remove all information about you as soon as possible. When requesting deletion, you will be "forgotten", ie the required statutory documents will be retained, but your data will not be processed without the law requirement after deletion from the register. In spite of your removal request, we will retain your information only when there is a well-founded reason for the retention of data, such as a statutory obligation.
